Perfect Board Agendas in Real-time
“I love BoardDocs. It’s user-friendly and I no longer worry about last minute changes because updates are so easily done in the system,” said Gail Levesque, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent. “Because board agendas are created in real-time, I can have a remote conversation with the Superintendent and make changes instantly.”
In 2016 the Tillamook School District board members attended the NSBA conference and visited with BoardDocs. When they returned, the district did more research on BoardDocs and off they went - never looking back.
Superior Online Solution Keeps Board Current and the Public Happy
The board wanted to stay relevant...all processes are now device-driven and BoardDocs made sense for them. Prior to using BoardDocs, the district created board packets using Word which was then converted to a PDF document. This document was long and difficult to manage. In contrast, BoardDocs is easy to use - from creating the agenda, to making changes, to displaying the information. Meetings are now more efficient because users simply click on an agenda item to display a specific topic. As a result, the public’s perception of the school board has increased in both professionalism and governance.
Sudden Savings Realized
A time- and cost-savings was experienced with BoardDocs. “I save a minimum of a full day’s work,” stated Levesque. “Not to mention the cost savings in paper, toner and gas reimbursement for delivering the board packets.”
Like many other districts, Tillamook School District #9 has been on a tight budget for many years. They found BoardDocs to be economical. Minimal time and energy was needed to make the transition. “I was hesitant to change but immediately found it made my job easier,” said Levesque. “In a small district, you have to wear many hats, so having additional time is critical to our success.”
“I recommend that everyone take a look at BoardDocs. It will improve your governance and your job. I’m sold,” said Levesque.
