Business Manager Lisa Marquez at Miami Area Unified School District, BoardDocs 2,000th subscriber, had this to say: "Our district's decision to adopt BoardDocs showed many positive views. BoardDocs will increase the amount of time board members have to review the agenda, enabling them to better prepare for meetings. Electronic distribution not only saves time and resources, but it also provides unprecedented public access via our website to agenda items and other board-related information."

The Clarke County Supervisors have approved a request by Clarke County Public Schools to carry forward $151K of unspent funds from the districts 2010 school budget.

The approved budget carryover includes $9K for software and hardware to support “BoardDocs,” an automated software system used to manage board information packets. According to the BoardDocs website “As the pioneer of eGovernance solutions, BoardDocs has helped over 400 organizations dramatically reduce costs, increase transparency and reduce the time spent producing board packets by up to 75 percent. Because BoardDocs solutions are so easy to use, your organization will operate more effectively from day one.”

The CCPS system currently distributes its school board information packets in paper format while Clarke County government distributes its board packets through its website in PDF format.

School Superintendent Dr. Michael Murphy told the Supervisors that BoardDocs will provide improved online access to school information by staff and citizens.
