About Emerald Data Solutions
BoardDocs services are developed and marketed by Emerald Data Solutions, a Company that has been successfully addressing the needs of clients since 1989. Over the years, we have provided solutions for many leading organizations, including the State of Georgia, BellSouth and Turner Broadcasting, among others. BoardDocs was launched nationally in 2002, and in 2004, we committed 100% of our resources to developing, implementing and supporting on-line governance solutions. To date, over 1,000 organizations have selected our technology to save money, reduce staff time, improve board effectiveness, increase transparency and help the environment.
Emerald Data Solutions is based in Atlanta, GA and has BoardDocs associates in Colorado, Florida, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Washington State.
Emerald Data Solutions is 100% employee-owned and has provided technology solutions since 1989. Clients have included the State of Georgia, BellSouth, Turner Broadcasting and hundreds of local governments.
In the late 1990’s, the Company had the foresight to move from providing project based, IT solutions to a then-radical, SAAS model. This strategic change led to the development of BoardDocs®, a revolutionary eGovernance (paperless meeting) solution, first developed in 2000. Currently, Emerald Data Solutions is exclusively dedicated to the development and delivery of its fifth-generation, community-defined BoardDocs services.
Of special note, Emerald Data Solutions has been 100% virtual since 2005. At that time, the move from a traditional workplace to a cloud-based footprint where all employees work from home was groundbreaking. As evidenced by the Company's continued growth, this operational model has proven remarkably successful and now serves as an example that other companies often emulate.
Our current staff includes former technology directors, former board clerks, former Fortune 500 executive trainers, top developers and certified support analysts. We have trained thousands of board members and administrators, so we understand how governing bodies operate and how board meeting materials are created, managed and distributed.
