BoardNews: Winter 2010

Welcome to the latest edition of BoardNews, a quarterly newsletter designed to provide the latest information on BoardDocs, eGovernance, emerging technologies for education and related topics. The past few months have been a whirlwind with the launch of the all new BoardDocs! Somewhere in there, we hosted the extremely successful 7th Annual eGovernance Workshop in Park City, Utah where more than 100 administrators, superintendents, board members and executive directors from school districts throughout the United States gathered to learn how their processes can be more effective by leveraging BoardDocs solutions.

As the BoardDocs community expands, we are eager to keep you informed on new developments while we continue to improve on what is already a good thing for organizations, communities and the environment! In this edition of BoardNews, you'll find a feature article from BoardDocs President Aristides Ioannides. Guest columnist Christine Weiser, the managing editor of the Tech & Learning Group, adds to the discussion with her view on technology's evolving role in education. We've also included an interview with BoardDocs Implementation Specialist, Laura Vautour, as well as the Regional Schedule for the all new BoardDocs Training Sessions, for those who are curious.

As always, any feedback that you have is most welcome. Please respond directly to the BoardNews Editor.

Happy Holidays from your friends at BoardDocs!

Looking beyond 21st century learning
I am growing tired of the following terms: digital native, 21st century skills/tools/solutions/etc., learning beyond the walls, and other related idioms. We are almost a decade into the 21st century.
